Meet Leah Taylor, LMFT, PhD
Your body holds more healing potential than you’ve been led to believe.
Lasting relief is possible.
You’re in the right place.
I’m here to help you feel better… and live more fully.
If you’ve been living with anxiety, chronic pain, or navigating a major life transition, you know how exhausting it can be to try treatment after treatment without lasting change.
You might even wonder if something is wrong with you.
Let me assure you: You are not broken.
But your nervous system may be stuck in a loop that’s keeping you in survival mode.
That’s where mind-body therapy comes in.
Instead of masking symptoms, I help you address the deeper patterns in the brain, body, and emotions that keep them stuck - so true healing can begin.
Using a combination of mind-body medicine, somatic therapy, and emotional processing tools, you’ll learn how to:
Calm your nervous system
Rewire outdated patterns
Work with resistant parts of you (instead of fighting them)
Reconnect to your strengths and move forward with clarity
My role is to offer clear guidance, trauma-informed support, and tools you’ll continue to use long after therapy ends — so you don’t just manage symptoms, you move beyond them.
My style
I believe therapy should give you practical tools, emotional support, and lasting change — not just temporary relief.
Compassionate and trauma-informed
As a somatic psychotherapist, I hold space for big emotions, trauma responses, and emotional overwhelm or freeze with care and skill. Somatic therapy is one of the most validated methods for healing trauma, which often underlies chronic conditions and anxiety. And being supported moving out of overwhelm and freeze can help tremendously in empowered decisions and graceful transitions.
Focused and goal-oriented
Our work is designed to create real change. You’ll get a clear plan, customized tools, and steady support - without years of open-ended therapy.
Science-backed and easy to understand
You’ll learn how your nervous system and emotional patterns are wired, and how to shift them. I break complex neuroscience into accessible, actionable tools that actually make a difference in your daily life… quickly!
My guiding principles
Growth
Healing begins with belief that it is possible. When you understand how your emotions and nervous system shape your experience, you can begin to work with them - not against them - and unlock lasting change.
Resilience
Regulation takes practice. With steady support, your nervous system can build more capacity, allowing you to navigate stress, pain, or change with greater ease.
Repitition
True transformation comes from consistent practice. Each time you use your mind-body tools and/or have a new restorative experience from our work together, you reinforce new pathways in your brain and body, creating greater ease and strength in both body and mind. Over time, new patterns become second nature, and symptoms lose their grip.
Renewal
This work restores vitality, clarity, and joy. As symptoms ease and your spirit re-emerges, you reconnect to your most vibrant, empowered self.
Training & Education
My work is rooted in both rigorous academic study and over 15 years of direct client experience. Alongside advanced training in psychology, mind-body medicine, and somatic therapy, I’ve worked in hospitals, integrative clinics, and community settings - collaborating with physicians, physical therapists, psychologists, and wellness professionals to support lasting healing.
